At 15:56 hours. Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43)'s Ladder 43 was dispatched to assist the Norristown Fire Department on the 700 block of Chain Street for a reported dwelling fire.

NFD's Assistant Chief 27 arrived to a 3 story MOR dwelling with smoke showing from the front door.

Ladder and Captain 43 with a crew of 5 made the response and assumed 2nd due truck company responsibilities upon arrival. The crew performed searches of all floors of the fire building with the assistance of Lower Providence Fire Department's crew onTower 53 which all proved negative.

Command placed the fire under control quickly with no further fire extension and no reported injuries. Station 43 was clear and available shortly after.
