At 16:53 hours your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers responded to mile marker 19.6 Northbound on I-476 the Blue Route for the reported vehicle on fire.

Engine and Chief 43 with a crew of 4 arrived to find the engine compartment of a 4-door sedan well involved in fire. The engine's crew deployed the front bumper 1¾" line to knock down all visible fire. The fire was extinguished quickly and the incident was placed under control in under 10 minutes. The scene was turned over to the PA State Police and station 43 went available just before 15:30 hours. There were no reported injuries to civilians or first responders.
