| The career staff and volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) along with the Harmonville Fire Company No.1 were dispatched at 13:29 hours this afternoon to the area of Ridge Pike and Alan Wood Road for a reported vehicle fire.
Chief 43 went enroute with reports of an SUV with fire visible from under the hood. Squad 43 with a crew of 3 and Squirt 43 with a crew of 2 made the response.
Engine 44-1, Squad 43 and Chief 43 all arrived to find an SUV on W/B Ridge Pike well involved in fire. The crews from Squad 43, Engine 44-1 and Engine 44 place a bumper line 1¾" handline in service to quickly knock down all visible fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished and under control within 10 minutes. Crews remained on scene overhauling and wetting down the vehicle until being released. The scene was turned over the Plymouth Township Police Department and units were available just after 14:00 hours. |
