| At 10:08 hours this morning the volunteers and career staff of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched to the 600 block of Bethlehem Pike in Whitemarsh Township to assist the Barren Hill Fire Company on a reported dwelling fire.
First arriving units reported heavy fire showing from the garage and first floor of a 2-story carriage house single family dwelling. Squirt 43 and Chief 43 with a crew of 6 responded on the working fire dispatch.
Upon arrival, Chief 43 was assigned to the interior with Tower 33 on Centre Square Fire Company to assist in opening up on the second floor. The crew of Squirt 43 were assigned I-RIT and stood by on the side Alpha.
Mutliple handlines were placed in service with truck companies conducting ventilation to knock down all visible fire. Command placed the fire under control just after the 30 minute mark. Squirt 43 was then released by command and werw available just before noon. |
