Squirt and Squad 43 Knock Down Vehicle Fire Southbound I-476

A 5 call morning/afternoon have had the volunteers and career staff of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) keeping busy this Tuesday. Just before noon, the company responded to this vehicle fire at mile marker 16.7 Southbound on I-476, the Blue Route.
Squirt, Squad and Chief 43 responded and upon arrival found fire underneath and in the engine compartment of a work van pulled onto the shoulder. Crews deployed the 1¾" front bumper line off the Squirt to quickly extinguish all visible fire.
The incident was placed under control within 10 minutes and the scene was turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police.
