| The volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched at 11:50 last evening to the 400 block of Yerkes Road to assist the Upper Merion Fire Department on a reported building fire.
Station 56 units arrived to find smoke showing from a large commercial building. Squad 43 with a crew of 6 responded as part of the working fire dispatch. Upon arrival the operator staged the apparatus outside of the complex and the crew reported to company staging in the rear of the building.
First in crews found fire in a machine on the interior of the building with a heavy smoke condition and quickly extinguished the same. Squad 43's crew was placed in service assisting with lighting the interior of the building and ventilation.
Once their assignments we completed, Squad 43 was released from the scene by command and diverted to Station 56-B to provide coverage to the area while units continued to operate on scene.
