At 03:37 hours this morning your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched to the 800 block of Elm Street to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported dwelling fire.

Assistant Chief 27 arrived to a 3 story MOR dwelling with smoke showing from all 3 floors. Ladder 43 and Utility 43 responded with a crew of 7 and assumed 2nd due truck responsibilities upon arrival. The crew split with members conducting horizontal ventilation on the alpha side of the building while the remaining crew conducted primary searches in the bravo exposure building. The ladder's crew were then assigned to open up multiple floors of both the original fire buidling, exposure and roof line checking for fire extension.

Engine companies placed multiple handlines in service with an aggressive interior attack knocking down all visible fire quickly. Command would place the fire under control within the hour and station 43 was available from the scene just after 05:00 hours.
