Your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were up early this Tuesday morning. At 04:23 hours, Ladder 43 with a crew of 4 responded to the 1000 block of Swede Street in neighboring Norristown Borough for the report of a house on fire.

Norristown Fire Department's Assistant Chief 27 arrived to a 2 story middle of the row dwelling with fire showing from side alpha. Ladder 43 arrived and threw their main to the roof of the bravo exposure as the crew was tasked with throwing multiple ground ladders, checking for fire extension in the exposure dwellings and assisting with ventilation. First in crews from Quint and Engine 27 placed an 1 3/4" handline in service to quickly knock down all visible fire.

Crews brought the fire under control quickly and remained on the scene to complete overhaul. All occupants of the dwelling safely evacuated and there were no injuries to first responders.

Ladder 43 was clear and back in service just after 06:00 hours.
