At 07:20 hours this morning, your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers and career staff along with the Harmonville Fire Company No.1 were dispatched to the 1300 block of Conshohocken Road at the Spray Products facility for a reported building fire.

While units were responding EMS reported multiple explosions from the complex and a large column of black smoke could be seen emanating from the area. Norristown Fire Department's Engine 27 arrived as the 1st due engine and reported several tanks on fire to the rear of the building. With this report the working fire dispatch was transmitted. Engine 27 handjacked a supply line to the hydrant and lead off with their deck gun to start knocking down the fire.

Squirt 43 and Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2's Engine 55 arrived simultaneously behind Engine 27 and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul of the affected area. Chief 43 responded and held the "Spray Products Command" for the duration of the incident. Ladder 43 also responded and assisted with checking for extension.

The fire was held to the tanks in the rear with no extension to the building and command placed the fire under control within 30 minutes. A representative from Montgomery County Department of Public Safety 's Hazardous Materials Team along with the DEP were requested and conducted air monitoring and samples from water run off deeming no further hazards to the area or community were present. 1 employee was transported by Plymouth Community Ambulance Association - Medic 308 to a local hospital with unknown injuries. There were no injuries reported from emergency personnel.

Gladwyne Volunteer Fire Company's Engine 24 and Barren Hill Fire Company's Engine 29 also assisted on scene with RIT. Thank you to all of our mutual aid for their assistance and to the Plymouth Township Police Department for their assistance with traffic and crowd control.

The Plymouth Township Fire Marshal's Office was on location for any further investigation. Station 43 was available just after 09:00 hours.
