Your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers have remained busy this week responding to a variety of major incidents in and out of town.

While responding to these incidents our volunteers have continued tontrain, train, and train some more!

On Saturday morning several members ventured over 2 hours North to Lake Ariel, PA to complete our practical evolutions for our Ice Rescue Emergency Response Class. This is one of the major components Station 43 would need to complete as we continue to prepare for water related emergencies and work towards our NFPA 1670 technician level certifications.

Led by the amazing instructors of Elder Technical Rescue Services, LLC members braved temperatures of -10° outside and water temperatures of below 30° practicing skills in self rescue and patient removal from a frozen pond along with members of the Spring Mill Fire Co.

Despite the crippling cold weather and environment all members had a great time and the lessons learned from this class will without a doubt prove valuable as we strive to provide the best and most professional rescue and fire services to our community and to our neighbors!

A huge thank you again to our instructors Bill, Mike, Andy and Mike for your time and efforts in leading us through this class. We look forward to our already scheduled future classes in the next several months!
