Yesterday evening your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers responded to the 300 block of W. 6th Street to the JP Mascaro facility in Bridgeport Borough to assist the Bridgeport Fire Department with a large rubbish fire.

BFD units first arrived to an approximately 100x100 trash pile well involved. Command immediately requested additional resources from neighboring towns as they began to attack the fire.

Ladder, Chief and Deputy 43 made the response with a crew of 6 and upon arrival crews rotated for several hours assisting in extinguishing the stubborn fire with handlines and portable ground monitors.

The fire was placed under control by 21:00 hours and Station 43 was available from the scene just after 22:00.
