Rescue and Engine 43 Operate on a Vehicle Rescue 1500 Ridge Pike

On 2/2 at approximately 01:43 hours, the volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No.1 was dispatched to the 1500 block of Ridge Pike for a reported vehicle accident with entrapment.

Station 43's duty officer Captain 43-1 arrived to a 2 vehicle collision and confirmed one patient to be trapped and established command.

Rescue 43 with a crew of 4 arrived and was placed in service to stabilize the vehicle and proceeded to remove a passenger side door with hydraulic rescue tools to gain access to the patient. Command marked the rescue complete within 20 minutes and the scene was turned over to the Plymouth Township Police Department.

Our officers and members are saddened to have learned there was a civilian fatality as a result of this incident. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to all of those involved and we wish a full and speedy recovery to those injured!
