This morning at 08:09 hours, your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers and career staff were dispatched to the 200 block of Dekalb Street in neighboring Norristown Borough to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported building fire.
NFD's Assistant Chief 27 arrived to a 3 story MOR with smoke and fire showing from a 3rd floor window on the alpha side. Crews from Quint and Engine 27 along with UMFD's Engine 56 placed an 1¾" line in service to quickly knock down all visible fire.
Ladder and Chief 43 arrived and assumed first due truck company responsibilities. The crew assisted in opening up the window sill from the exterior of the building.
Command placed the fire under control quickly with no reported injuries. The fire was held to the 3rd floor window with no further extension. Station 43 was released and available just after 09:00 hours.
