Engine 43 Starts Christmas Weekend with a Vehicle Fire South on the Blue Route

Your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers got an early start to the holiday weekend as they responded at 06:52 hours to mile marker 16.2 South on Route I-476 for the reported vehicle on fire.

Chief 43 arrives on location to find the engine compartment of a white sedan well involved. George Clay Fire Company - Station 39's Squad 39 arrived as the first due engine company and placed a line in service to knock down all visible fire.

Engine 43 with a crew of 4 arrived shortly after and their crew was placed in service opening up the vehicle and overhauling. The incident was brought under control in about 10 minutes with no reported injuries.

Station 43 was clear from the highway just before 07:30 hours with the incident being turned over to the PA State Police.
