On 12/21/2022 at approximately 13:36 hours Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43)'s Ladder 43 responded to the 600 block of Cherry Street in neighboring Norristown Borough to assist the Norristown Fire Department on the building fire assignment.

Crews arrived to find a piece of roof flashing lying on peco lines which appeared to have energized the roof areas of multiple dwellings along the row and light smoke showing from the same roof areas.

Engine companies advanced handlines into multiple homes where they would find fire in the ceiling areas on the third floors and extinguished the same. Ladder companies on scene operated on the roof opening up to check for further fire extension and ensure extinguishment. Peco was requested and arrived on location to secure the power to the homes.

Crews operated for over 2 hours to bring the incident under control with no injuries reported to any residents or first responders. Station 43 was released by command and available just after 16:00.
