November 12, 2021

At 07:40 hours this morning Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) Ladder 43 was dispatched to the unit block of E. Jacoby Street in the Borough of Norristown to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a residential building fire.

NFD's Assistant Chief 27 arrived on scene to find a 3 story end of the row dwelling with smoke showing and requested the working fire dispatch. Ladder and Chief 43 made the response with a crew of 4 and upon arrival assumed first due truck company responsibilities.

First in engine companies found fire in a 3rd floor room and quickly extinguished the same. Ladder 43's operator flew the main to the roof while the crew threw multiple ground ladders and then operated on the roof opening up the soffit area to check for any fire extension and ensure full extinguishment.

Command placed the fire under control within 30 minutes with no reported injuries to any residents or first responders. Ladder 43 was clear from the scene just after 09:00 hours. A job well done by all companies who operated on scene!
