An early start to this Father's Day weekend as the volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched at 09:47 hours this morning to the 800 Block of Brook Road at the L&S Demo complex for the report of a vehicle fire.

Squad 43 responded and were advised of a trailer in the complex on fire possibly involving batteries. With this report, Deputy 43 requested Harmonville Fire Company to be dispatched to assist. Squad 43 arrived as the first due engine reporting heavy smoke visible from a large trailer and confirmed the contents inside to be well involved.

Squad 43 hard jacked 400 feet of supply line to a yard hydrant as Squirt 43 arrived and was put in position for master stream operations. Personnel from 43 and 44 placed the Squirt boom and a blitz fire in service for over and hour and a half to extinguish all visible fire. Extensive overhaul of the trailer contents was then completed using heavy construction equipment to ensure final extinguishment.

Command placed the fire under control within the hour and all units were clear and available just before noon. Many thanks to Station 44 as always for their assistance and the tremendous teamwork on scene!
