| The members of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) remained busy over the last 24 hours as the career staff and volunteers were dispatched at 12:51 this afternoon to the 900 block of Airy Street to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported building fire. Station 27 units were on location originally for wires down reporting a large tree down on power lines causing them to arch and ignite fires to rear od several homes in the township. Ladder and Chief 43 with a crew of 6 responded assuming 1st due truck company upon their arrival. The crew split into 2 teams conducting searches and assisted engine companies in multiple dwellings opening up and overhaul to ensure extinguishment. Multiple lines were placed in service to get the fire under control, holding it to the original dwellings. Station 43 was clear and available just before 15:00 hours. This was the 2nd multi alarm fire for Station 43 in less than 12 hours. 📸 courtesy of the PFC and Norristown Fire Dept. |
