| Yesterday afternoon at 13:10 hours the career staff and volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched to the 500 block of Green St. to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported dwelling fire.
Assistant Chief 27 arrived to find fire showing from the rear of a 3 story MOR dwelling. Station 27 units arrived quickly and immediately went im service with fire suppression and searches of the fire building.
Ladder 43 responded and arrived as the 2nd due truck company. The operator positioned the truck to the "charlie side" alley behind the fire building and the crew went to work laddering the rear. The crew were then assigned to the roof to vertically ventilate and open up to check for further fire extension.
Command placed the fire under control within the hour. Station 43 remained on scene assisting with overhaul until being released just after 14:30 hours. |
