| At 08:49 hours this morning the volunteers and career staff of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched to the 600 block of General Armstrong Road to assist the Upper Merion Fire Department on a dwelling fire. Upper Merion units were originally dispatched to area for an odor investigation and possible electrical issues. The incident would then be upgraded due the numerous reports from multiple residences of the same issues. During their investigation, smoke was then visible from a residence prompting command to request the working fire dispatch. Ladder 43 with a crew of 5 responded on the working fire dispatch. Upon their arrival the crew supplemented company staging before being placed in service in the fire building relieving first in crews by opening up remaining ceiling and securing utilities in the bottom floor. Command reported having fire on multiple floors with mutliple handlines in service and vertical ventilation on the roof. Once the fire was placed under control, Station 43 personnel were released from the scene and available. |
