| On Tuesday evening, the volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) spent our weekly training night utilizing an acquired structure.
These rare and unique training opportunities involve a residence or property located within the township that is scheduled for demolition. Working with the location's general contractor, the property is used by the company to conduct realistic, scenario based training im and environment that simulates what we Will encounter in the field during emergency responses.
Station 43 personnel utilized our drill night along with members of the Harmonville Fire Company No.1 honing our skills in ladder company operations. Crews rotated through the structure practicing scenario based drills in horizontal and vertical ventilation, ground ladder utilization and placement, vent enter search (VES), as well as opening up and proper overhaul techniques.
We are extremely grateful to the Prestia family along with the contractors for affording us this great training opportunity. Also, many thanks to all of our amazing community members for their support and cooperation in allowing us to hone of craft to better serve you all! |
