| At 13:29 hours yesterday afternoon the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) was dispatched to the area of Front Street and Green Street in Bridgeport Borough to assist the Bridgeport Fire Department on a confirmed working commercial building fire.
First due companies arrived to find a large commercial property well involved. Command ordered all companies to go in service from a defensive position as units began placing multiple portable monitors, handlines and a tower ladder into service. With an increasing fire load, command requested additional truck and engine companies to the scene bringing in Ladder 43.
Ladder 43 arrived on scene, staging their apparatus outside the fire block and reported to company staging. The crew would eventually be placed in service to the roof to begin opening up so that master streams could complete extinguishment of the stubborn fire.
Companies would remain on scene for several hours soaking down the building. Station 43 personnel were released by command and available just after 17:30 hours. |
