At 12:02 hours this afternoon the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) career staff was originally dispatched to the 700 block of E. Swede Street to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported building fire.

NFD's Squad 27 arrived on location correcting the address to the unit block of E. Oak Street and reporting a 2 story commercial property with smoke showing.

Ladder 43 responded and upon arrival assumed 1st due truck company responsibilities. The crew went in service opening up for the engine companies inside the fire building to expose the stubborn fire and check for extension while the operator threw ground ladders on the exterior.

Multiple handlines were placed into service to knock down all visible fire. Companies remained on scene conducting extensive overhaul until being released by command. Station 43 personnel were clear and available by 14:00 hours.
