At 21:22 hours last evening the volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched on the initial alarm with fellow ROC units to the area of Main Street and Forrest Avenue to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported dwelling fire. NFD units arrived to a 3 story twin dwelling with heavy fire showing. Ladder 43 with a crew of 4 responded and arrived as the 2nd due truck company. The crew went in service with searches while the operator positioned on the Charlie, delta side getting the main to the roof and throwing ground ladders. The crew would then be tasked with assisting several pets out of the fire buidling and continued to open up and soak down hot spots. The intial engine companies had the bulk of the fire knocked down quickly. Units remained on scene for extensive overhaul before being released by command shortly after 23:00 hours. Our thoughts go out to all those affected by this unfortunate incident! |
