Engine 43 Battles Vehicle Fire in Connaughtown

At 18:27 hours your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched to the 500 block of New Elm Street in the Connaughtown section of the township for a reported vehicle fire. A unit from the Plymouth Township Police Department reported a vehicle well involved.

Engine and Chief 43 responded 4 minutes after dispatch with a crew of 4. The Engine arrived to find a 4-door sedan with the engine compartment well involved and exposures to other vehicles. The crew advanced the front bumper 1 3/4" hoseline to quickly knock down all visible fire. Squirt 43 also made the response and upon arrival assisted the engine's crew with soaking down the remaining areas of the vehicle.

Upon extinguishment, Station 43 cleared the scene and were available at 18:56 hours turning the scene over to the Plymouth Township Fire Marshall's Office. There were no reported injuries to civilians or first responders.
