At 03:27 hours this morning your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Main Street to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported dwelling fire.

NFD units originally dispatched to area for a trash fire began receiving multiple callers to the 911 center reporting a house on fire and promptly upgraded the assignment. Initial units arrived to find fire showing from the rear charlie section of the residence.

Ladder and Deputy Chief 43 responded with a crew of 6 and upon their arrival were placed in service opening up in the rear to check for extension and ensure final extinguishment. Station 43 operated for about 2 hours before being released by command and made available.
