June 24, 2024

At 04:49 hours this morning your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers responded back to the 600 block of Caroline Drive to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported dwelling fire.

NFD units originally responded to a report of smoke in the area and arrived to find fire through the roof of a 2 story twin. Ladder 43 responded and assumed 2nd due truck company responsibilities upon their arrival. The crew was placed in service throwing ground ladders, ventilating and conducting overhaul in the fire building. Ladder 43's operator positioned the apparatus on the alpha/delta side of the fire building and threw the main to the roof.

Command placed the fire under control and reported 1 firefighter sustained an injury while operating. We extend our thoughts and well wishes to them for a speedy recovery! Station 43 was clear from the scene and available by 06:00.
