Ladder 43 Assists Norristown Fire Department on 2 Alarm Building Fire

Your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched at 02:45 hours this morning to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported building fire on the unit block of Main Street.

Station 27 units originally on scene for a fire alarm activation found a heavy smoke condition and fire in the basement of the building. Ladder and Chief 43 with a crew of 8 personnel made the response and assumed 2nd due truck company responsibilities upon arrival. Members assisted with searches and evacuations on multiple upper floors as well as ventilation and overhaul.

Station 43 was released by command and made available just prior to 05:00 hours.
