Ladder 43 2nd Due Truck to the 900 Block of W. Airy Street Norristown

At 00:39 hours this morning, your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched to the 900 block of W. Airy Street in the Municipality of Norristown for a reported building fire.

Norristown Fire Department units arrived and reported smoke showing from a 3 story MOR dwelling and heavy fire conditions from the charlie side. Command was established and the working fire dispatch transmitted. First in engine companies from Quint and Engine 27 went in service with a handline to begin attacking fire in a 3rd floor rear bedroom.

Ladder and Deputy Chief 43 responded with a crew of 5. Upon arrival the ladder assumed 2nd due truck company responsibilities and performed a primary search of the fire building. The crew then assisted opening up on the 3rd floor and assisting Lower Providence Fire Department's Tower 53 crew with opening the soffit and checking for extension on the charlie side exterior.

Command placed the fire under control within the first 30 minutes and Station 43 was available just after 01:30 hours.
