At 00:16 this morning your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched to assist the Norristown Fire Department on the 1200 block of Swede Street for a reported dwelling fire. Montco's 911 center advised receiving multiple callers reporting flames and smoke from a house.

NFD's Assistant Chief 27 arrived to a 2 story EOR dwelling with heavy fire showing on multiple floors from the rear. The working fire dispatch was requested bringing in several area mutual aid companies.

Ladder 43 with a crew of 4 responded and assumed first due truck company responsibilities. Command would send the ladder's crew to the roof of the original fire buidling where they conducted vertical ventilation and opened up the roof line to expose hidden fire. The crew would also assist with overhaul operations.

Multiple engine companies stretched several 1.75" handlines to make an aggressive interior attack of the fire on multiple floors. Command placed the fire under control with no reported injuries.

Station 43 was released by command and available just after 02:30 hours. A tremendous job to all crews who operated at this incident!
